Bethlehem Globe Times Obituary. Miss Ellen M. Rose. The trombone choir of the Moravian Church, B., yesterday announced the death of one of the most devoted and loyal Members, Miss Ellen M. Rose. Miss Rose departed this life at her late home, in the Sisters House, 87 Church St, Bethlehem, on Saturday evening about 7 o'clock. Her death was sudden and unexpected. Although an invalid for a long while and totally blind for nearly a year, she was apparently in good health and spirits on Saturday and entertained friends who called. In the evening,while in the company of her devoted sister, Mrs. Walters, she was suddenly taken ill and soon death relieved her of her sufferings, which she bore for many years in a non-complaining manner and with true Christian fortitude.
The deceased and her sister had a widow acquaintanceship. For a number of years they occupied the historic rooms in the Sisters' House where fancy embroidering was done and the celebrated Moravian Mint candies were made. Nearly every visitor to Bethlehem has met Miss Rose. She was kind and affable and was endeared to all who knew her. Her death was learned with deep regret.
The funeral will take place on Thursday afternoon. The services will be held in the Moravian Church at 2:30 o'clock. The internment will be made in the old Moravian Burying Ground
