Jacob Fellman (b. 1809, d. February 25, 1871)

Jacob Fellman (son of Samuel Fellman and Elizabeth) was born 1809, and died February 25, 1871 in Richland Township, Pa. He married (1) Hannah Biehn on 1832. He married (2) Catherine Shellenberger on 1851.

Notes for Jacob Fellman:
Jacob and Hannah are buried aat Flatland Mennonite Church, Richland Twp. Jacob was a shoemaker and lived his life in Bunker Hill( Rich Hill). Among his papers at his death were financial notes to Samuel B. Thatcher Harry's maternal G-G Grandfather as well as Samuel and Charles Fellman. The Fellman shoe shop is on a map 0f 1878 Rockhill Twp listed under S. Fellman for Samuel, Jacob's son. This ids the shop that Tobias Hinkel was apprentice.
Jacob taught Tobias Hinkel the shoe trade. Tobias worked for Jacob as an apprentice from 1848 to 1856. Tobias then purchased property from Jacob's brother, charles Fellman at Bunker Hill where he set up business for himself prior to relocating to Quakertown. Jacob's brother, Charles , was also Tobias's Commander in the local militia called " The Jackson Guards". Harry has the discharge certificate of Tobias from that militia signed by Charles Fellman on August 8 1854.
