My research is West Midland based, covering Birmingham, Walsall, Willenhall, Bushbury, Wolverhampton and Staffs; in the U.K.
It takes you back to around 1770, after the time of the Jacobite Rebellion, and the complications that this presented to all Roman Catholics, with Registration and keeping within County boundaries!
The research takes in murder, hanging, sad tragic death's, the Birmingham Police Force and skilled Lockmakers of Willenhall.
The 'direct' male line are predominantly named JOSEPH, and the surname has changed from ABBOT to ABBOTTS, and through to ABBOTS in modern day.
