My search is a continuation of my Mother & Daddy's search
to document the families of Cook, Hudson, Gammill, Downs,
before there were computers in homes. I have attended many
family Reunions, Cook, Gammill, Helfs, Scovills.
I remember visiting my Grandfather,John McHenry Cook, born 1853
at the Family Farm in Willow Springs, Missouri.
It was always fun for a little girl to see the rolling hills,
lakes and feel the love I always felt
at my Grandfather's home.
I was born in Mexia, Texas probably the most incredible
Hometown a little Girl, family & Friends ever had. We had
the Lake with dancing under the moon, Bennett&Glover with
a Jukebox in the back with all the Big Band songs. We knew
every word to every song and still do.
I have already begun a search for the Abercrombie Family.
Also, I spent a lot of time with the Gammill Family and
feel close to them. My Maternal Grandmother was Emma Elizabeh Gammill and I am in touch with many of them today.
My Daddy & Mother,
Wiley & Ruby Cook always felt close to their ancestors and I
want to finish their quest for the families preservation
and documentation.
That is my dream.
