I have located and been able to compile many photographs of the family members from the mothers and fathers side since the 1800's and some of the English group back as far as 1495 when in Yorkshire in 1981.
The records for the Acasters from Acaster-Malbis in Yorkshire County, England were moved from the church in the small town to the town hall in the town of York which is open most days until 4pm. Ihope to make a future trip to trace in detail this side from the David Acaster who boarded a ship in England to arrive in Long Island as the first settler to my knowledge in the USA
We have had Stoeckel reunions every year until 1986 when my mother passed away. However, I was not able to attend after 1978 as I left for California not to return until they were discontinued. My cousin Gerhardt Stoeckel III has continued his efforts to establishthe Stoeckel family tree. I shall contact and share any info I have on this side with him and hope to fill in the names of photos Ihave now in my possession that are unidentified. I would like to scan these tothe harddrive of a computer for future reference and printing.
