My grandparents Garfield and Elizabeth came to Michigan from Kentucky in The 1930's. They had 13 children. Three of them still survive and live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan where their parents brought them so many years ago. One of the thirteen children was my mother, Beatrice Stamper Burns, who passed away June 2000. She was married to my father, Robert Walter Burns, son of Thomas P. Burns and Sarah Deaton Burns.
