I am looking for information on Edward (called Edmond) Allen, who came to America in 1636, from Scotland. If you have any information on Edward, please email me at the address below. Thanks so much!
Our Family Tree research was and is being done several members of our extended family in several states. Most of the history of our family was gathered from Lottie Guy, of Hamilton, OH, and the people of Clay Co., KY. Also, a big thanks to the Clay County Historical Society for much information!
On Saturday, June 12th, a gathering of Allen's from KY, TN, NC, IN, NM, WY and OH was held at Rockcastle Church in Oneida, KY, on land that was part of the original family farm tracing back to Captain Adoniram Allen, a Revolutionary War hero.
Many new faces were at the Family Reunion. MANY THANKS goes to Ethan Allen and his mother, Betty, for hosting and doing the "foot work" of putting the reunion together!
At the reunion we also visited the gravesite of Capt. Adoniram Allen and several other family members of the Allen's, Baker's and Robertson's at the Laurel Point Cemetery. The Baker's, Collins, and Robertson's married into our family to join the Family Circle.
I look forward to getting to know some new "cousins" I met at the reunion and to visiting Oneida again next year and in the years to come.
