As far as I know; the Akridge family came from Sparta, GA. I know that my great-grandfather's name was Will Akridge and my great-grandmother's name was Hastie; but I do not know what her maiden name was. We have a family reunion every year of the Akridge, King, Coltrane, and Dalton. My grandfather's name was James B. Akridge and my grandmother's name was Mary Christine Lewis-Akridge. My grandparents had 9 children; five boys and 4 girls. My mother has two girls; Lois Marie Akridge-Galloway and Joslyn Sabina Akridge-King. I really don't know too much more about the family.
