ALBRIGHT/ALBRACH FAMILY OF PENNSYLVANIA 1800'S

Updated May 16, 2002

About Our Family Research

My grandfather, Harold Albright was born in Ohio to his parents Michael Matthew Albright, born 1881 in Penn. and his wife Violet Henry. They made their home in Pennsylvania and later in Ohio. Michael Matthew Albrights fathers name was also Michael
Albright. In an 1880 census, a Mike Albrach is found in an unknown county in Pennsylvania. Mike is a 19 yr old iron/steel worker who had a 12 yr old sister Mary also born in Pennsylvania. Mike's parents were John and Emma Albrach who were listed as being born in Bayern, Bavaria, Germany whose capitol at some point became Munich. From census records I know that they did not migrate into America until prior 1861 when Mike was born in Pennsylvania. If you see or have any info on this Mike albrach...I am looking for this info. The family name changed in spelling from ALBRACH as it came from Germany to ALBRIGHT as it is today. I am interested in finding the other ancestors and perhaps if lucky enough to find the parish info to find added info in Germany for John and Emma. Subsequently, Mike Albrach/Albright married Mary Gruber in Pennsylvania in 1881. Michael Matthew their eldest son and my great grandfather was born to them in 1885, October. anyone with access to census records would be most welcome with info.
