An ALBERT Family of Pabos/Caraquet/Roseville/Atholville Updated July 14, 2003
About Our Family Research
The first member of our ALBERT family, to come to the new world was Gabriel ALBERT (1738-1795). He and his wife had 4 children. We decend from the oldest, Pierre. Pierre's 8th child Hilarion had 9 children. The 9th child Pierre was my great grandfather. This research was not carried out by me. I began at my great grandfather Pierre dit Camille ALBERT and worked on his siblings lines. I have been researching fairly seriously for the last 5 years. The maternal names are BOUTHILLIER, DENYS, LANDRY, JONES, respectively. We don't have any official re-unions planned, but I try to keep in contact with all the relatives I know about. I would be extremely pleased to hear from others I 'm not in contact with! Some other family names that I have an interest in are HACHEY/HACHE/GALLANT, HUMPHREYS, VENABLES, RANDALL, CLARKE and HARRISON. My grandfather was John Charles ALBERT (1871-1949). He married Rosanne HACHEY and they settled in Atholville, Restigouche County, New Brunswick. My father was the second youngest of 7 children to procreate. His real name was Pierre Narcisse ALBERT (1917- 1987) but he insisted he was Peter Nelson ALBERT and most people called him Pete.
