William and Linia had 12 children all of which were born in Hall County, GA between 1903 and 1924. They all later moved to Gastonia, NC and setteled in the Arlington Mill Village. The address at William's death is listed as 46 Maxton Street Gastonia, NC. William and his children all worked at one time or another at the Arlington mill and William was listed as a sweeper. He was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church West 2nd Ave. in Gastonia, NC and was a Sunday school teacher there for many years. According to several of the children William Huey Meeks was a full blooded Cherokee Indian. I have not been able to confirm this.
