Salmons, Johnsons, Alfords, Settles of Lincoln County WV

About Our Family Research


I'm just starting to do research into the four main branches of my family. Lucky for me, one branch, the Alfords, has been extensively researched by a distant relative, Norris Alford, providing info as far back as the 1730's in Ireland. I haven't been so lucky with the other four branches of my family, so starting from scratch there. All four families are tied to Lincoln County WV (Sod, , Garrets Bend, Hamlin, West Hamlin) for at least a generation or two. I will try to update this page as I learn more.
