Abraham Alling arrived originally in Marblehead, MA and later moved his family to Oyster Bay, Long Island, NY where was a successful Blacksmith.
No one knows where he came from or who his parents were prior to arriving in Marblehead. There is some speculation that he is related to the Alling Family of New Haven, CT however no connection has been found.
Our Family Bible indicates that he emmigrated from the Kingdom of Wales. According to Welsh Geneaolgy experts, the Alling name is English, not Welsh.
