The family split up before the turn of the century and some went to the United States in 1887. The branch that moved to France left closer to the turn of the century. The original six siblings of the US Weintrob family were very quick to adjust to their new country. Leo Weintrob became a professional photographer in Atlantic City and also to Queen Carmen Sylva of Romania , Alexander became a diplomat to his native Romania from the State Department, Marcus became an Atlantic City dentist, Joseph became a principal in the Atlantic City public schools, Annie was a housewife, and Raleigh Weintrob became a principal in the public schools of Paterson, NJ.
