About Our Family Research


I have compiled a genealogy of the Almquist family (which was Johannesson in Sweden) back to about 1640. My resources include parish data from Sweden obtained at the L.D.S. Family History library in Salt Lake City, Utah; court naturalization records from Chautauqua Co, NY; the two volume set "Swedes in Texas in Words and Pictures, 1838-1918"; on-line data from the Jonkopings Genealogical Society; and family records and oral histories.
