Welcome to the ALTAGRACIA and GOMEZ/S home page. I began researching my ancestors and the family name of my surnames ALTAGRACIA and GOMEZ back in February 1997.
This file is primarily the descendents of Esteban ALTAGRACIA, with a good sprinkling of surnames who have married into this family and other ancestors of Estebans' descendants.
My biggest challenge is finding information on my g-g-grandparents in Dominican Republic, if that is where they originated from. So far I've traced my paternal g-grandparent Esteban ALTAGRACIA born abt. 1840 in San Juan de La Maguana, Dom, Rep. and d. 1943 in El Seibo, Dom. Rep. (yes, he was quite old). He married Eugenia MARIANO born aft. 1840. The children from this marriage were Celestino, Esequiel, Tatica, and Ricardo.
Many hours were expended on my research and preparing the files for the report for the extended families listed here. I hope you will be patient with me as I continue our family research, that I will continue to make our data as accurate as possible.
