I have been researching my tree for 5 years. I began with a booklet I received at the 1976 Bethard Family reunion. George & Rosa Bethard's children had contributed records of their descendants. This was a great help to me establishing a good root system for my Tree. My Grandmother, Bertha Bethard's (Sheppard) daughter had updated the booklet with marriages, births, and deaths, this also was a great help.
My second contributor was my Grandfather, Robert Rodgerson. He had saved old family letters, records, and pictures. Both of my Grandparents have given me family letters and records, a few dating back to the early 1800's.
My other information comes from researching on-line. State archives, Forums, and Census' ECT...
