About Our Family Research

Family history seems to stop in 1880's in Colorado. Searching for information regarding other family members and links to England and Ireland prior to the 1880's.

Immigration site unknown, believed to be in 1880 for James Hughes from Ireland. He was definately in Colorado in 1882 when my grandmother was born in Nederland area. Spouse name unknown, but she was previously married to a man named Jones and had 2 children (Al and Sarah (sp)) by him before having Janie May (my grandmother)b. October 11, 1882 d. Dec 13, 1976, Will, agnes, Myra, George and Nellie.
George had a son named George and raised him after being blinded in a mine accident. Nellie married Henry Kautch(sp) and had a son Herbert.

Thomas Philip Trevarton's side came from England (Cornwall?), believe his wife was a Sarah. She also was previously married and had Lela and John by former (Johns?) Sara, Emma, Edith, Philip Thomas (my grandfather) b. June 17, 1882 d. Oct. 9, 1962, and Arthur were products of this marriage.

Philip Trevarton married Janie May Hughes March 6, 1905 and had 12 children: Harry Hughes, Elmer Thomas, Oliver(Olie) Ellsworth, Philip James, Margaret Louise, Paul Walter (Shrimp), Myra Emma (my mother), Eva June, Jess Willard, William Henry, George Arthur (Ikie), and Janie Mardell.

All lived in the Boulder County (Carribou/Nederland/Longmont)area of Colorado.

Possible connections to Pennsylvania, Ohio, Illinois or Iowa.

Any help would be appreciated on filling in the holes.
