June 2001:
Ok, I found additional details on my grandfather (Elmer Amundsen) including his US SSN and that he worked for a time (1936) with his father (my great-grandfather) Clifford Elmer Amundsen at Hour Publishing in Norwalk, CT. I also know of my great-grandmother Agnes (Henry) Amundsen. I have found no US SSN information on these folks - I suspect it's too long ago for that.
I also know my great-grandparents on my grand-mother's side: Charles P. and Julia (Downs) Murphy. My grandmother worked for Elite Beauty Shop in Norwalk in 1941.
Any information on the Norwalk Amundsens, Murphys, Henrys, and/or Downs will be greatly appreciated (see email on this page).

I'm working on getting details on my grand parents (Elmer and Mildred Amundsen) in order to get information about generations before this.
I know birth/death dates for my grand parents (see tree on this page) and that my grandfather was issued a US SSN in CT, but nothing else.
If you have information about an Elmer Amundsen (b. 1911; d. 1976) that worked in Montana, please write me!
