I moved to New Zealand in 1972 from England with my parents, brother and sister. I started interest in tracing my family history in 1988 after a visit to New Zealand by my grandfather, with some family records.

I have traced back 5 generations of my direct Ancrum ancestry in Scotland, however I am particularly interested in linking my family to other branches of Ancrums that are already clearly identified in Bristol, Northumberland and London in England & Edinburgh in Scotland.

Many Ancrums from these branches are the ancestors of Ancrum, Ancram, Ancrom, Ankram, Ankrum, Ankrim (& other variations) in Canada and USA

Also interested in Ballingall (Elie & Largo in Fife, Scotland), Lockhart (Glasgow & West of Scotland)
