I am looking for news of my grandmother Ella Emelia West who was born in April of 1862 and maarried Peter W. A. Seaman in December of 1881 in Big Rapids, Michigan, Mecosta County and had two children Bessie Jane born in 1881 and Jess born March 2, 1886 who was my father. Jess was adopted by people named Vliet in 1889 as Peter W.A. Seaman left Ella and the 2 children and Ella was unable to care for both of them and I would really like some facts about her mother and father. Any documents, marriage license, death notice says that mother's name was Jane Stevens (maiden) I assume and father unknown. It is believed she said that as her father disowned her.
