My intent is to add to the genealogy information already collected by Frank J Strathman(deceased), William Strathman of Des Moines, IA and myself.
The German family first to arrived in America came in 1839 from Holdorf to New Orleans and settled in Illinois, just east of St. Louis. That was the Johan Herman Heinrich Strathman family. The 12 decendants of that family have increased our group considerably. I hope to find most of them.

  FB Strathman was a pioneer in portrait photography along with his brothers John and Herman. They started their adventure in Fayetteville, Illinois, then branched into Kansas, Iowa and Missouri.
