This home page has been created to help link together all the branches of the Elford family in the UK & North America. This page is immediately concerned with the descendants of John Elford of Milton Abbot, Devonshire, England (1658-?) thru his son Isaac Elford (1703-1793) who moved to Duloe, Cornwall. This Isaac's son Isaac (1734-1818) was married 3 times (at last count!) & had at least 12 children, & almost all of them emigrated to Ontario Co. or Durham Co. in Upper Canada during the 1830s or later. They have hundreds of descendants throughout North America; several of them moved to the Canadian Prairies & several more branches went to the American Mid-West. This page has been created in the hopes of bringing more descendants of this massive family together thru the online sharing of photographs & documents related to the Elford family.
