Back in the 1970 I became curious about my large family and where everyone came from. Both my parents had married at an age later than normal for the area but younger than their parents had and so I thought that it would be interesting to find out who my family was and where they came from. I grew up with stories about my grandmother and our Indian heritage but didn't really know much about that except that we had Cherokee and Apache Indian on her side. She looked Indian so so I surmised it must be true but could find no information on her, only my grandfather. My search has still netted me little information on my paternal grandmother's side of the family and less on my mother's side who is a 1st generation Swede. Still, with documentation and now an ability to write down little snippits of information on each person that I run into the list grows. Of course, at the current rate of reproduction of my children and siblings children, it's hard to keep up let alone go back and trace so this avenue is very important to me to learn who my family is and get to know them even if only distantly or after death. The preferred method of learning about family is in person but when that is not possible, I will opt for OnLine help. Please search these pages and fill in all you can.
