Tweny years ago when my mother passed away I inherited the Family Pictures from both sides my family. My aunt Olive came over and told me and I wrote names down. I wanted to my Dads' Family . I called the Veterans Department,and they informed to fillout some forms that they had for request about my grandfather
who was in 8th Cavalry of Iowa Civil War. And that Started the ball rolling in my family of cousins and my siblings. It took
while before I could afford a computer and found out about the what was available. From the papers I recieved from the Veterans
Affairs and the freedom information act. I learned who were my
great-grandfather,and greatgrandmother. I joined Ancestry.com
and I havebeen searching every since. We have had family reunion
picnics, dinners. at least one a year.
