Carl August Ewald Anderson (son of Andreas (Anders) Jonsson and Sophia Mathilda Carlsdotter) was born 17 Nov 1889 in Glomminge (Oland), Sweden, and died 15 Aug 1927 in Walla Walla, Washington.

Carl immigrated to America. Carl served in the U.S. Army, worked for the railroad and was a blacksmith. The Livery barn Fred bought at Wolbach, Nebraska, was called ANDERSON BROTHERS, this indicates that they were in partnership and Carl was living in Wolbach in 1910. By 1915, Carl was living in Heppner, Oregon. Carl never married and died 15 August 1927 and is buried in Wall Walla Washington in the Stone Mountain View Cem. in the military section with a white military head stone.

He was a Private 1st class, Medical Department and a World War 1 Veteran.
