Updated February 20, 2003

About Our Family Research

Hi My name is Tony but I go by Wolf. I have been working on the Anglemyer-Starr genealogy and other connections now for around 10 to 12 years. From the information that I have gathered my family line began in the Palatinate of Germany in and around the Rhine River valley. Adam Angermayer was the First in the line he and his family emmigrated to Pennsylvania by way of Rotterdam and England on Sept 27 1752 aboard the ship President with him were his Anna Marie and there children. They were Lutherins when they left and remained so when they settled in Bucks Co. Pennsylvania. from there they spread to many states One state in particular that of Kansas Winnfield to be exact.Andrew Jackson Anglemyer (Ajax) for short was my Great Grand Father. He and his wife Mary J Wade then staked their land in 1893 in Perry Oklahoma during the Land run which was held by the Family untill it was sold in 1971.My moms Side of the Family began in Wales in the mid 1700's. The first William Franklin Starr was Deported on a prison ship the Pretty Patsie I september 1737. He spent some time in the Newgate Prison in London before leaving for the Colonies he arrived in Maryland December 1737. Where his track was lost. There are three seperate Starr lines that are in the US.Part of My moms line is with the Cherokees Her mom was also German with the maiden name of Zeitler he name was Eva and she came from Belle plain Ks Moms dad was born in Houston Tx in 1890 or so. Mom was born Dorothy Louise Starr in Jackson Twp On septmber 24 1924 she had 5 sisters and one brother. The Anglemyers hold their Family reunion in August in Winnefield Kansas and as far as I can recall there has never been a Starr reunion
