    The Hamilton, Ohio newspaper article on the October 13, 1979 car accident. The driver was Elvin C. Tuttle, born October 30, 1948 (the son of Versell and Beulah [Parsley] Tuttle). The passenger in the car was his girlfriend, Wanda "Sue" Bannon (the daughter of Ben and Nannie Gabbard Gross). Elvin and Sue were planning to get married before she died. Sue was married to Allen Bannon. Elvin was married two times before meeting Sue. The newspaper article said that Elvin was in fair condition with a fractured skull but it was actually worse. He was in criticle condition with several broken bones and he suffered the rest of his life.

    Elvin Tuttle in the 1979 Hamilton, Ohio city directory and living at the same address as Wanda "Sue" Bannon. Elvin's mother lived at 852 Vine Street at the time.
  • Sue Bannon in the 1979 city directory (892 KB)
    Wanda "Sue" Bannon in the 1979 Hamilton, Ohio city directory and living at the same address as Elvin Tuttle. Sue's husband, Allen Bannon's name was in the 1978 directory at the same address with Sue but the directory was made in 1977.

    Elvin Tuttle in August 1980. He was still 31 years old and turned 32 in October. This photo was taken about 10 months after the Oct. 1979 car accident. One of his arms was still in a cast and sling. Elvin died in May 2003 in Hamilton, Butler County, Ohio.
