The objectives of my researches are . identify my ancestors as far as possible in the past and their descendants in Italy and in the other parts of the world, particularly in the States .
Presently, my oldest known ancestors are : Nicola APREA born in 1800 in MASSA LUBRENSE (NA) and Veneranda ESPOSITO , been born about 1812-1815, and who both lived in MASSA LUBRENSE .
They had seven children . Two of them ( Luigi and Vicenzo, b. on 1841 and 1848, who married two sisters : Serafina and Fortunata SAVARESE, b. in 1847 and 1854 in VICO EQUENSE, near MASSA ) migrated to ALGERIA in 1870 et settled themselves in the small port named STORA , on the easterrn coast . . Two others ( Giovanna, b. 1845, and Mariano b. 1843 ) migrated to U.S. . I do not know what happend of the three others ( Angela-Rosa b. 1834, Teresa b.1836, and Gennaro B. 1839 ) .
Three members of the family , the brothers Luigi b.1889, Giovanni b. 1883 and Salvatore b. 1884, nephews of Vincenzo and Fortunata, created and managed the commercial entreprise " APREA Brothers, Wine and liquors importers, 198 Degraw Str., BROOKLYN, established in 1809 . Their cousins created , in the same years, " APREA FISH CO - L. APREA, Prés. & Manag., Wholesale Shippers, fresh fish and oysters, 418 Bryan Str. SAVANNAH, G.A. " .
