My family tree, Offord (London) & Barry (Brighton)

Updated July 1, 2003

About Our Family Research

I have very little information about my family as neither of my parents would talk about their parents.

I have found some of my father's family, who were mostly situated in and around the London and Home Counties. However the information I have is very sparce and proving quite difficult to connect up with any certainty.

My father was Alan Percy Offord and was one of several children. He was born in 1900 and died in 1984. He had several brothers & sisters, Daisy, Gladys, Elsie, Stanley, George & Cecil are the ones I know about, although I do believe there was another child.

His parents were Fredrick Andrew Offord b 1861 Regents Park, Middlesex Married Martha Webb Lambeth, Surrey in 1884.
g/parents were Robert Offord Jr. b 1839 Maryleborn, Middlesex Married Annie Evison @ Wispington, Lincoln in 1860.
gg/parents were Robert Offord b 1813 London, Married Mary Ann Peacock @ St. Martin in the Fields, Middlesex in 1837.
ggg/parents were George Offord b 1792 England, Married Mary Lamb (No further info on that)

My mother was Edith Rose Barry b 1908 @ Brighton, her father I believe was called John Barry and was a Jockey. He died after WW2 in France. No other information known at all.

I am hoping to finde out more information about the Barry side of my family in the near future.
