I am DARLENE M (Anderson) (Arnold) ANDREWS,JAMES MONROE ANDREWS' grandaughter by his son Frank Jay who married (Bessie) ELIZABETH HYSLOP in Holden, Alberta on January 2nd 1918-20. Early on they
moved to the states (Oregon/Washington). I am the youngest of
his 10 children.
I am retired now and just beginning genealogy. Have had som
contact with Ross McMahon. Father's sister Bertha May (12-5-1892) was his grandmother. Her daughter (his mother) being Florence Isabella Armstrong.
There has been some interest from the younger generations
in our genealogy. I think it would be nice to foster that and
encourage whenever we can. As a child I often felt left out, when friends talked about going to visit their cousins etc. I
say it is never too late.
