About Our Family Research


After working 30 years at the New Bedford (MA) Free Public Library and helping others with their genealogy research, I now have the time to work on my own. I am only a second generation American, so I knew many of my ancestors. On the other hand, my husband's family has been here for many generations--he has a photo of his first-born son sitting in the lap of his great-great grandmother!
