My parents were Fred Arsenault and Edna Boudreau. I grew up Bronson, New Brunswick and have 3 brothers; Fred,Arthur, Edward and 4 sisters; Elsie, Dorothy, Doreen and Viola.
Although our family surname is Arsenault, my dad was adopted into this family. He was born in Amherst, Nova Scotia to one Frances LeBlanc. It was during WWI and due to extenuating circumstances it was necessary for her to put the newborn child up for adoption. His father's surname was Comeau. Later in life Fred connected with his birth family. He got to know his mom and sisters, Zelda, Emma, Margaret and Jean. He has also met his father but did not maintain contact.
His adopted family were: father, Phillip Arsenault; mother Mary Jane (?) Arsenault. His siblings were Gordon Arsenault, Albert Arsenault, Billy Arsenault, Stanley Arsenault and Annie LeBlanc.
My mother's parents were Arthur Boudreau and Alma Boudreau. They were married Oct. 5, 1914 in Westmorland County, N.B. My mom was born in Cap Pele, New Brunswick where she lived until about the age of 4. About 1923 her family moved to Bronson, N.B. Her siblings include: Amos Boudreau, Aldrice Boudreau, Steve Boudreau, Reginald Boudreau, Alice LeBlanc, Laura Gauthier, Eva Cormier, Corrine Griffin and Emerise Bouregois.
My great grand parents (Alma's parents) were Etienne Richard and Olive Gautreau. They married in Shemogue, N.B. on January 16, 1882. The 1901 census for Westmorland County, listed Etienne as being 45 years old, putting the year of his birth at 1856. He was 40 when my grandmother was born.
Etienne's parents were Israel Richard and Osithe LeBlanc. Olive's parents were Clement Gautreau and Charlotte Lirette.
