My father's side came from Germany (the Asbachs) and Norway (the Holmans), my mother's Slovaks (the Lajcaks) and Poland (the Trebas). I've always been interested in figuring out where the rest of the family strings lead off to...I know some of the Asbachs ended up in northern Minnesota, but there were supposedly other brothers who came to the U.S. whose descendants might still be on the east coast. We see the Treba clan frequently, lots of them in the midwest, and we know where a lot of the Lajcaks are as well. I don't know much about the Holmans. Maybe I'll luck out and find more via the internet someday.
