I have gathered together all the information I posess about my ancestors. Although I have no children, I would like to be known as the family historian. On my mother, Judith Meyer Ashley's side some of the information came from my grandmother, Helen Van Deusen Meyer Beloungy. She did exhaustive research into the Van Deusen family history at the Newberry Library in Chicago and on a trip to Holland to see the family castle (now a museum) in Deurne, Holland. I also utilized research provided by my aunt, Barabara Noreen, on the ancestors of my grandfather, Albert Meyer.
On the Ashley side of the family, I have included information provided by my paternal grandmother, Ruth Stewart Sloan, minus, alas, the whimsical characatures she did of several generations of the Ashley/Sloan family. Perhaps I can include these on the home page at a later date, along with the family photographs that were archived by my cousin, Jim Coss, and more recent photos I have gathered from hither and yon.
