When my mother, Julia Churchill Henderson, died four years ago, i inherited four trunks of family memorabilia -- photos, letters, books, telegrams -- from a rich and varied and romantic history that spanned the country, both geographically and from the perspective of founding fathers. naval history plays a prominent role, and my DAR card could be easily obtained. in my middle age, i am a long way from completing any one of a myriad of stories, but i have a wealth of information to share, should anyone care to collaborate.
