Michel Thillet-Délos se estableció con su familia en el Bo. de Tibes, Villa de Ponce, en los años del 1819. Al morir en 1827, sus tres hijos, Louis (Luis) Nicolás y Joseph Francois (José Francisco, heredaron gran parte de la hacienda de café de su padre y continuaron operando la hacienda.
