The reason for this exercise is to try and keep contact with so many members of the Attard family of Victoria Gozo. My grandfather was Giuseppe Attard, a carpenter, married to Adelina ne้ Gatt. His trade as carpenter was carried on by his sons. One of his sons, my father, by name George, was the only one out of the six brothers who was not as involved in carpentry as much as his brothers. Their names are: Felice, Pasquale, George (my father), Giuseppe, Antonio, Giovanni.
By the time they established their families, the Attard first cousins counted to little less than fifty. Many of these couosins are happily married, which means that the original fifty or so cousins have increased and multiplied.
Keeping contact is the way to foster the memory and get enriched by the roots that have characterized our past and hopefully will enrich our future.
