Hi, I am collecting information regarding ALL Auths in the US.
Personally, I am the decendent of Constantine Auth, born 16 April 1834 who arrived in New York harbor on the Balticus on 15 May 1852 with the family of his brother Conrad Auth. The two brothers came from the town of Rommerz in what was then the state of Hesse-Darmstadt in modern central Germany. Rommerz is located near the city of Fulda (as in the Fulda gap). Constantine and Conrad briefly settled in Pittsburg, PA before becoming farmers in central Illinois.
However, as I stated above, I am attempting to build a master family try for all Auths. My database currently has over 30 different branches of the Auth family in the US.
I grew up in Illinois and, as an adult, I have lived in New Mexico, Colorado and now Texas. While living in Colorado I sent out several large mailings in an attempt to gather information, so if you think you recognize my name, you may have recieved a letter from me in the past!
