This is my family tree project. Most of the information on individual ancestors was given to me by my mother and my aunt Clotilde Villegas. I look forward to filling in the blanks with the help of my other family members that still remember and that are still here with us.
1/24/2007 today I have added a little more information about my paternal grand parents. i have learned that they also had a pair of twins that were born approx. 1941. I have also learn that my (my paternal great grandma) paternal great great parents came from Europe to teach. Supposably, they were of Indian and African descent. I have a paternal cousin that will be filling in some blanks soon. she is currently planning a trip to PR to discover some more information.
1/28/07 Today I spoke to Negrita (Clotilde) and she gave me some information about my maternal great, great great grandparents. Raphaela Rondon and Segundino Villegas, were the grand parents of my grandfather Ignacio Villegas. He was baptised in Yainabo, PR February 28, 1897. His Godparents were Incarnacion Villegas (she was the sister of Basilio Villegas) and Inocienco Garcia. He was baptized in the Church named San Pedro Martinez de Yainabo. Not quite sure if Ignacio was born Yainabo. It is still very possible that he was born in Rio Grande, PR.
June 2008
I just got back from Puerto Rico from my aunt Clotilde (Negrita) funeral. She passed away on June 6th, 2008.
