My name is Baba ,my father is elisha, my grand father's name is babakhan. my mother's name is nancy isaac khnanisho. my father, Elishs Babakhan Dollo had 2 brothers , Solomon(the eldest and Eshaia the youngest and 2 sisters, Rabbcca and sophia. They were all born in Sherabt,Urmia, Iran. Solomon emmigrated to the United states(chicago) in 1912 in 1933 he went to California at the end he lived in Turluk.Following the death of his wife in Iran , Solomon married a Scottish woman named Yunis they had 2 sons David and Randell and two daughters, Hanna and Louise. In 1917 , my grandmother Khana,died. 1n 1918 following the Russian revolution in the Assyrian and Armenian community in Iran were attacked by moslem , kurds, turks and local iranians. over 100,000 fled less than half managed to reach the safety of in Iraq,where the british were occupyying. My grandfather died on the way. my father and his brother and 2 sisters managed to reach baghdad they brought with them solomon's daughter, shoshan. soshan's youg mother died . Rabbacca and sophia later returned to iran and got married .My father and his brother remained in iraq. 1n 1921 they inteded to go to Hayastan (armenia) but the newly independent republic was taken over by soviet. my father worked in Basra for a short time and then returned to Baghdad. Later he and his brother worked for the RAF in the new Air base at Habbaniya . My mother, Nancy Isaac Khnanisho Yosip also fled with her family. She had 2 brothers, Oshana and youkhanna(John).They managed to reach the saftey of Hammadan 100 miles from iraqi boarder. My grand father had an accident which he had a leg amputated. The family rented a house in Hammadan . Oshana died in mysterious circumstances. He bought a cart and worked with his elder cousins, Polis and Iramia. In one trip the cousins came back and reported that Oshana died following avery short illness ,they said that they buried him on the way. John together with his cousins went to Baghdad ,where he worked at various places in Baghdad, Kirkuk and Basra. He ended working at the new prestigous Alwia Club, established by the british. In 1926 he managed to save enough money to get his family to Bagdad. iN 1927 my mother married and lived in Hanidi camp for a few years and later she lived in habbaniya till 1973.
I have 1 brother, newton 4 sisters, Joan, Margaret, Gladys and Alice. At present, I live in london, Newton in Wolverhampton,My mother, Joan ,Margaret, Gladys and Alice live in Sydney Australia. My father died in Sydney in 1989. Uncle Solomon died in Tuluk, USA. and uncle Eshaia died in Sydney. All uncle Eshaia,s family live in Australia, he married Melida and have 4 sons Martin, Manuel, Romain and Lawrence and 3 daughters Leoren, Dolphin and Fiona .Both aunty Rabbacca and Sophia died in California,USA
