This report is being done by Edwin Baccus's son Clifton Lee Baccus. Clif grew up in a Texas Baptist Children's Home in Round Rock TX. Along with his brother Riley Edwin and sister Alma Jean. I knew more about our mother's family because most of them lived 20 miles away in Austin TX. My father's mother and stepfather along with several half brothers and sisters, lived in Kemp TX. I found out on my graduation day from college that a lady named Mollie Baccus living in the same town of San Marcos TX was my father's Aunt. The year was 1969. Started with my father's geneology in the year 1997. As in the past have not had much contact with the Baccus kin, but have found a large number whom I'm kin. Close friends with daughter of Mollie ( Zelma Tippie). Interesting story I tried to date Zelma's daughter during college days before I knew we were kin. Found out most of the Baccus which are the most closely kin started out in Burnet TX only 40 miles from hometown of Round Rock TX. I Have found the family started in TX with Michael Peter Baccus and Elizabeth Jane Foley. Found out Liz is buried in Kaufman TX, this is several years after I lived in Kaufman and worked as a teacher. Last know place of living area for Michael was Atacosta County TX, which is another area I taught.
