About Our Family Research


We're searching for information on origins of Nerilla Backus and Lillie A Jackson Backus, and of George Olmstead Lewis and Hannah Mariha Griffin Lewis. We believe that Nerilla immigrated to the US in the 1870s from Calcutta, India , perhaps with a five-legged calf that he displayed in a circus.
Lillie A. Jackson was born of Bennett Jackson and Elizabeth Williams Jackson in 1855 in Perry, New York.
