The Herman F. Grays/Gruys Family Tree

About Our Family Research


I have taken information passed from our great aunt. Anyone having other information please add it. Our Family Came from Amsterdam, Holland and Germany. They changed the spelling of our name from Gruys to Grays at Ellis Island, NY however those family members that went west kept the Gruys spelling.

Example: Simon Willem Gruys came to America in 1880, he then moved on to Orange City Iowa, then later to Strasburg, North Dakota.
