Robert Baker (son of John Baker) was born 1660 in Maine, and died Sep 1728 in Lancaster Co, PA. He married Susannah Packard on 1685 in PA, daughter of Phillip Packard and Anne Coates.

Robert Baker Se lived in Lancaster County, PA on Piwuea Creek, He and his sons were
gunsmiths. They invented the "Kentucky" Rifle, and developed hand operated machines to cut the
rifles in the barrel.

The first of this family in America appears to have been Robert Baker who settled in Conesoga
Township, Chester County, PA.

In 1719 Robert took over the shop operated by his brother Samuel. On April l4, 1724 Robert also got the 250 acres on Pequea Creek.
