In 1996 I discovered that my ancestors lived in Petaluma CA whereI make my home. I am researching:
Michael Reed from Ireland who settled as a farmer in this town
in 1850 where he owned about 250 acres.
Michael married Bridgit Bolton (mother was Bridgit Bolton also) from Ireland. They raised 9 or 10 children in Petaluma, the youngest my grandmother Mattie born Sept. 26, 1880. About 1900 o 1905 they moved to San Francisco. Mattie married Richard
Frawley (cousin to William Frawley of I love Lucy fame.)
Mattie and Richard had two daughters Mildred and Madeline Frawley. The lived in the later years on Liberty St., San Francisco but spent childhood in Petaluma, Santa Rosa CA.
Mildred married Mervyn Richard Johnson in San Francisco, appox.
1935. Mervyn's parents were Axel Richard Johnson, originally from Sweden and Mary Gonsalves who lived in San Leandro CA and was from the Azores. They had three children myself, Patricia, Richard and Lynne. I married Joseph M. Baker who died in 1970.
We had three children and lived in Burlingame. In 1972 we moved to Petaluma, CA.where I raised the children. I still reside here.
