| I am researching my maternal grandfather's family. My grandfather was Ralph Stevens. He was born August 24, 1908 in Scranton, PA. He died June 17, 1981 in Holland, MI. His father's name was Edmund Samuel Stevens. he was born in 1884 in McDonough, Newcastle, Delaware. He married Magdalena Deitzer, who was born in White Mills, Pennsylvania. Edmund's father was also named Edmund Samuel Stevens. He was born in Delaware about 1845, and married Elizabeth Evans, who was also born in Delaware about 1849. Samuel and Elizabeth had at least 4 children; Oliver b.in 1873, Harry D., born in 1875, Edith, born in 1877, and Edmund Samuel (my great-grandfather), born in 1884. Magdalena Deitzer, my grandfather's mother, had at least 2 sisters, and her father was not alive by 1900. Her mother's name at that time was Anna Schafer. She had 2 sisters; Rosalia and Bertha, and a step-brother Michael. Any information would be appreciated, and I would gladly share any information that I have, |
