Diane Bekel's research on Wiggins, DeCamp, Gillig

About Our Family Research


Trying to trace back Wiggins, Gillig, and DeCamp to see if the DeCamp name is Sephardic. In US they are located in the Mid-Atlantic area. In Europe, so far I have Lessenhein (?) French Germany (I assume Alsace-Lorraine area) from the early 1800's.

A lot of names are in the family Bibles, but not really sure how they relate to each other.

If you're a Bekel, let's talk. Very little has been done here to trace the Iowa Bekels, but they all know that they came from Germany.
