Washington Township Treasurer, Dies After Brief Illness.

Franklin, April 20--Sam Kynion, 46, died at 2:20 o'clock Sunday morning at his home here following a short illness.
Treasurer of Washington Township, Mr. Kynion was foreman of a WPA project when he became ill.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Franklin Presbyterian church with Rev. Mae
Haskins officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olive cemetery. The body was taken to the home this afternoon from the
Friskel chapel in Frontenac.

Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Mary Kynion; two daughters, Mildred and Wilma Kynion, both of the home; three
sons, Sammy, Jack and Bobbie Joe, all of the home; a sister, Mrs. Walter Puterbaugh, of 126 West Twenty-first,
Pittsburg, and two brothers, John Kynion of Pittsburg, and Charles Kynion of Pittsburg R.R. 2.

Mr. Kynion held membership in the Masonic Lodge and the United Mine Workers of America.

Sam Kynion, Treasurer of Washington Township Died After Brief Illness

Sam Kynion, 46, died at his home in Franklin at 2:20 o'clock Sunday morning after a brief illness.

Funeral rites were at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon in the Franklin Presbyterian church, in charge of Rev. Mae
Haskins. Interment was in Mt. Olive cemetery. The body was taken to the home late Monday from the Friskel chapel
in Frontenac.

Mr. Kynion was treasurer of Washington Township and was the foreman of a WPA project. Memberships were held in
the United Mine Workers of America and the Masonic Lodge .

Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Mary Kynion; two daughters, Mildred and Wilma Kynion, both at the home; three sons,
Sammy, Jack and Bobbie Joe, all at the home; a sister, Mrs. Walter Puterbaugh, of 126 West Twenty-first, Pittsburg,
and two brothers, John Kynion of Pittsburg, and Charles Kynion of Pittsburg R.R. 2.
