The George Bell's of Southeast Kansas

George and Jane Jobson Bell immigrated from Northeast England to the US in the early 1870's.

George was born 11 January 1835 in Eglingham, Northumberland, England to Thomas and Susannah James Bell. He had at least four brothers--Robert, Thomas, Joseph and William.

Jane Jobson was born around 1831 in North Sunderland, Northumberland, England to Michael and Jane Jobson. She had at least one brother, John.

George and Jane were married in the late 1850's and had eight known children--

Thomas born 17 July 1861 in Guide Post, Northumberland, England;

Susannah born 17 July 1861 in Guide Post, Northumberland, England;

George born 30 March 1864 in Radcliffe, Northumberland, England;

Jane born 23 October 1866 in Radcliffe, Northumberland, England;

Susannah born 13 March 1869 in Broomhill, Northumberland, England;

Mary, aka Polly, born 2 February 1872 or 1873 in Pennsylvania;

Joseph born 6 May 1875 in Coffeytown, Pennsylvania; and,

Margaret born 2 April 1877 in Pennsylvania.
